Tips to Finding Great Networking Partners
Finding great business networking partners is simple with bizblinddate. Follow these tips from our most experienced members to maximize your success.
For All Members
Tip 1:
Use the Network Navigator to create meeting requests for the most popular days of the week, times of day etc. While you should never shy away from requesting a networking meeting that fits your schedule, if you want to improve your odds of setting a business networking meeting, go where the other networkers are!
Tip 2:
Be flexible and specify either multiple "meeting start time" options for the same day or for the greatest odds of getting a match, choose "no preference".
Tip 3:
Use templates to easily cast many lines into the water. Just like fishing, the more lines you have in the water, the greater the chance that you will land a great networking meeting. Since the bizblinddate algorithm prevents you from being double booked you can cast multiple lines without a worry. As soon as one of your meetings is set all the other conflicting potential meetings are automatically eliminated.
Tip 4:
Choose "No Preference" for your partner's Occupation and instead use the Minimum Networking Feedback Score and/or the Minimum Referral Network Strength to find great networking partners.
Remember, great networkers exist in every field of business.
For
Master Connector and Super Connector Members
Tip 5:
For improved odds, keep your requests broad, preferably at the B2B, B2C and Govt', Educ. and Not for Profit level.
Tip 6:
If you want to be more specific when specifying your desired business networking partner's occupation check the % of members that fit the profile you're interested in. This will help you gauge the probability of your making the connection.
For
Super Connector Members
Tip 7:
Think there is value in your Alumni network?
Specify your Alma Mater (graduate or undergraduate) as part of your matching criteria.
Tip 8:
Sometimes the best networking partners are people who used to work at an occupation of interest to you.
Use the both past and current occupation functionality to expand your search to include more possible partners.
